Alphabet Soup

Written by  Colleen

I LOVE finding fun, pretend play activities with stuff we have laying around.

Lately G hasn't been playing much in her kitchen, so I grabbed a few kitchen toys to see what activity I could come up with. I pulled out my large pot and I also had some foam letters from a dollar store puzzle lying around...and voila! Alphabet soup! I added some soapy water and put all the letters in the pot.

As G scooped we named the letters. She loved filling the bowls, dumping them out, and filling them up again.

Here's what you need for this activity:

  • Foam letters (bath toy letters, puzzle letters, letter magnets --anything will do really)
  • A large pot
  • Spoons/ladle
  • Plastic bowls
  • Soap & water

Enjoy!
