Pasta Threading

Written by  Colleen

What do you do when it's 7am, you've reheated your coffee twice already but haven't DRANK any yet, ANNNND now your child asks to "do a craft mama?”

PLAYDOUGH! Thank you, playdough. I saw this image on Pinterest a while back of threading pasta on a skewer in playdough so instead of her usual cutters and playdough stamps, I grabbed some Popsicle sticks I had lying around and some dry rigatoni from the pantry.

I showed her how to roll the playdough into a ball and insert the stick. Then thread the pasta. She loved it!

She played "noodle sticks" as she named it for THIRTY MINUTES! Yup! Thirty glorious, quiet, early morning minutes.....and I finally got to drink my coffee.

PS: I was in love the creativity and exploration she had by the end!  Here's Ginny and her "noodle puppies.”
